SMTN GOOD hosted a design competition to develop patterns for a new product range, where three winning designs would be selected and translated into knitted blankets. My submission, titled “Just an Illusion,” was chosen as one of the top three winning designs out of 216 entries and received the highest number of public votes. Inspired by the concept of Yin and Yang, the pattern explores the coexistence of opposing forces. Using optical illusion techniques, light and dark forms intertwine to create a shifting visual that reveals different shapes depending on perspective.
